Team’s Perception Of You? Humble or Arrogant At Work?
Are you thought of as a down to earth likable leader? Do co-workers respect you? Are You humble or arrogant at work? These questions can be difficult for some, especially for those who are being honest about potential faulty behavior when it comes to thinking they are above others. There are times when all of us can be a little big for our britches, however, it is important that we all remember that it is wiser to be humble than arrogant at work. Even if you have great skills, (and we hope that you do) OlyLife encourages you to be humble even as you go about doing stellar things at work. James 4:10 in the bible reminds us “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” When choosing to be humble or arrogant, (remember it is a choice) our co-workers will sing our praises through the way we get along with others and how we accomplish much by working smoothly with our team of co-workers when we are humble. No one like arrogance!
Pride Goes Before The Fall
If we get too proud of ourselves and others sense that we are choosing unwisely when deciding to be humble or arrogant, our progress will be undermined as we network at work. Our boss will recognize that others feel that we look down upon c0-workers and our ability to achieve maximum results will be diminished. OlyLife encourages you to lift others up. Share the credit, be gracious with accepting praise and shine a positive light on your team. Your team will really appreciate your humble attitude and will push you up as the person they most want leading them at higher levels in the organization.
