There are, as we all know, millions of people who are suffering around the world. In addition, there are those intimidated by a boss who is a tyrant, or neighbors who are in hard times. Do you help the weak who are struggling? Psalm 82:3-4 advises that we should “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” Do you step in to help the weak in your office or neighborhood? Sometimes a word of advice, or an argument of defense can change a difficult work environment. Your generosity at the local care center will help the weak who have fallen on hard times and who are hungry. Your compassion for the poor children of the world by giving a small amount to organizations, such as World Vision which serve kids and communities in Africa, can make a huge difference.

When you take even a small step to stand up to help the weak you are living a better spiritual life and will be blessed for it.
