Since So Much Time Has Passed Do You Think The Bible Matters Less?
It has been a long time, two thousand years since Jesus walked on this earth. Does His life and death still matter? After all this time, He hasn’t returned and the Biblical promises of the last days have not happened as of yet. So, the question is: since so much time has passed does the Bible matter anymore? OlyLife suggests that there could not be a more relevant message for us to absorb than the truths which come from the Holy Bible. In fact, when we look at the amount of time since Christ was here in human form, it hasn’t been long if we think about it in terms of God’s time. Second Peter 3:8 tells us “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” According to Peter, it has been a couple of days in God’s time since Jesus walked among us. Let us use our time here wisely and remember that what seems like a long time to us, is just a blink of an eye to God.

Our bible study time becomes much more urgent, as do the calls to follow through to love our neighbor as ourself.
