Ever Unsure of Yourself, Timid, Shy or Lacking Confidence?
Many of us go through periods in life where we may be lacking confidence. This timidity can be due to the fact that we have been assigned new responsibilities and we are not yet fully up to speed on important subject areas. Perhaps, we are lacking confidence because we are fearful of what others may think of us and so we are hesitant to speak up and share our thoughts in meetings. Whatever the reason, lacking confidence is something that can be overcome. In fact, your Heavenly Father can help you become very confident in how you present yourself to others. In Exodus 4:11-12 the Lord tells Moses that He can help him. “Who gave man his mouth? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go: I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” If we call upon God in faith and ask him to teach us how to present ourselves without fear, He can help us overcome our timid ways. If you are lacking confidence, pick up the Bible and ask God to show you a better way.
