If You Don’t Have Money – Apply For Grants, Scholarships or Aid In Addition To Working To Go To College
There are many grant, scholarship or aid dollars that go unused because students are not doing the work in applying for the money. Go to the bookstore and internet and search for the thousands of gift opportunities and apply for the money. Yes, sometimes it is competitive but sometimes the charitable organization is just looking for the right attitude and willingness to work hard. OlyLife knows that there are some who could benefit from these grant dollars, but rather than go through the hassle of applying for a hundred grants, the kids just say I’ll borrow or let my parents pay for school. We encourage you to make the effort and apply for lots of grants. Even if you apply for two hundred and only get one or two, the thousand or two thousand dollars will pay for your time and effort. Once you have a few grant applications under your belt, much of the information can be re-used or tailored to the specific request for information.

Don’t be lazy if you are a prospective college student get a book of a thousand grants and apply like crazy. Parents, if you aren’t floating in money, tell your son or daughter that you want them to apply to three grants per week during the summer of Junior year and throughout Senior year. If nothing else, they will learn that it takes work to get grants and that this money is very important. (They will also become experts in knowing their resume’ and completing short essays etc.) So, apply for grants, scholarships and aid and go to college and you will be a step closer to making the most of your one and only life – That’s OlyLife!
