God First Makes The Most Of Your Life - That's OlyLife!
Who Is First In Your Life? Improve Your Life By Putting Jesus First
If you are like us, sometimes when we hear new information regarding change, the first thing that pops into our minds is “How does this impact me?” Not, “What would Jesus do or say?” or “What are the implications for my co-workers?” Instead, it’s “all about me.” Shortly after these thoughts are processed, OlyLife realizes that our Spiritual calling to put God and his purposes ahead of our own, convicts us that this type of thinking is selfish. This doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t care about our own situation, but rather, that we should be prepared to deny ourselves for the benefit of following Jesus. He might fill our hearts with the notion that it is better for us to forgo the larger bonus, so that a greater number of associates can be retained within a company, or that it is time for us to pass on a job transfer so that an associate with a greater need can have the position. No doubt, these are tough decisions, but as followers of Christ, we are sometimes called to put the needs of others ahead of our own. (There are, of course, plenty of times when God has opened a door that is meant for you to walk through and in those cases there should be no guilt or hesitancy to receive the blessings.)
Denying Yourself Can Be Joyful
When we experience the joy that comes from going without something such as a new car so that a gift can be made to others, that sacrifice can result in joy as opposed to pain. When any of us give to folks like World Vision to help the poor children around the world, we can experience the joy of realizing that the denial of extra savings or consumption for ourselves results in the education of a child, or the vaccine that saves a life – How Cool Is That?! So we encourage you to pray about how God would lead you in your denial of self for the benefit of others and pleasing Him. When you do this, OlyLife believes that you will be one step closer to making the most of your one and only life – That’s OlyLife!
