If you want to improve your life, OlyLife believes that the decisions about family time and money should be very well balanced. If you are constantly choosing the opportunity to make more money over spending time with your wife, husband or children, then you may be making a big mistake. Sure, we all have to provide income in order for our families to survive, however, if the pendulum swings too far in the career direction then relationships in the family can become strained or damaged.

Family Time or Money: What’s Most Important?

When it comes to balancing the time versus money decisions it is often helpful to step back and ask yourself, what is really most important? If I make another twenty thousand dollars but miss ninety percent of my kids activities is that a good trade-off? Each family has to answer the balance question for themselves. In the above example, perhaps the family would agree that an extra ten thousand dollars and 50% attendance at children events would be a reasonable trade-off. If you make a ton of money but your children say “I didn’t really get to know my Dad as he was working or traveling all of the time,” would it be worth the sacrifice?

Family Life Means Being There For Your Children

All the nannies or assistants in the world cannot replace the love of Mom and Dad. There is no substitute for time that kids spend with their parents being nurtured, taught, loved, and guided.
